Atlanta rapper T.I. has been released from a federal prison in Arkansas and is headed to a halfway house in Georgia.
T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., last May began serving his sentence of a year and a day for illegal firearms possession and possessing a gun as a convicted felon.
Steve Sadow said his client was expected to report to Dismas Charities halfway house in Atlanta on the evening of December 23, 2009 and will be there for up to three months.
Sadow said Harris “did his very best to adjust to his circumstances” in prison and knew he had to pay for his crime. He said Harris was most looking forward to getting back to his family and being as productive as he can be.
None of those nominations surprised me until I got to Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. The nominees were Beyonce’s remix of “Ego”, Keri Hilson’s “Knock You Down”, Jay-Z’s, “Run This Town”, T.I.’s “Dead and Gone”, and The Lonely Island’s, “I’m On A Boat.” If you remember “I’m On A Boat” was a rap video comedy short about being on a boat featuring Andy Samburg and T-Pain. The song was hilarious and Andy Samburg is good at what he does but since the song was made for comedy, should it have been in the comedy category? Andy’s group Lonely Island’s did release an album titled Incredibad which contained “I’m On A Boat”,the infamous “D*ck In A Box” and other hilarious songs so technically the nomination is legit. But some may argue, how you do you put “I’m On A Boat” in the same category with Jay-Z’s “Run This Town”. We’ll see what happens. The Grammys air on January 31, 2010.

Comedian Katt Williams was arrested outside of Atlanta, Georgia on Sunday night (November 8), following an incident that resulted in charges of burglary and criminal trespassing.
A deputy at the Coweta County jail, about 40 miles south of Atlanta, confirmed that Williams remains in custody morning (November 9).
According to Major James Yarbrough of the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office, an unidentified Newnan, Georgia homeowner called police around 9 p.m, alleging Williams had “gained entry by breaking into the home.”
Yarbrough, who did not have further details on the incident or the arrest, stated that jewelry was taken from the residence.
Authorities believe the entertainer is currently working on a film in the Atlanta area.
The arrest comes a year after Williams was arrested in New York City on weapons charges.
Last year, Williams, was in New York for his debut performance at Carnegie Hall, which was scheduled for November 6.
The 38-year-old actor/comedian, born Micah Williams, is scheduled for an arraignment Monday afternoon, where a magistrate is expected to set a bond amount for his release.
Rhianna debuted her new single “Russian Roulette” last week on Ryan Seacrests L.A. radio show. It’s the first single off her new album titled Rated R which is scheduled to be released on November 23. The video for the single is slated to air on ABC during prime-time very soon. It’s an edgy slow tempo song written by Neyo but Rhianna promises to have more up tempo dance tracks on the album as well.
The song was ok to me, but I was more interested in the singles cover photo. Very sexy. I love how Rhianna’s not afraid to push the envelope!
