Lil Wayne was originally scheduled to begin his one year prison term stemming from weapons charges on February 9 but had to undergo major dental surgery including eight root canals which postponed his sentencing to March 2.

He has released a sneak peak of Nino Brown: The Road to Rikers Pt. 1 in which he gives fans a look into his life as he prepares to do his time. The video was shot by DJ Scoob Doo, Lil Wayne’s favorite videographer. The DVDs can be purchased on his website DJ Scoob Doo.

There has been rumors of L.A. Atlanta rapper T.I. has been released from a federal prison in Arkansas and is headed to a halfway house in Georgia.

T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., last May began serving his sentence of a year and a day for illegal firearms possession and possessing a gun as a convicted felon.

Steve Sadow said his client was expected to report to Dismas Charities halfway house in Atlanta on the evening of  December 23, 2009   and will be there for up to three months.

Sadow said Harris “did his very best to adjust to his circumstances” in prison and knew he had to pay for his crime. He said Harris was most looking forward to getting back to his family and being as productive as he can be.

The Grammy Nominations were released last week with Beyonce leading the nominations with a staggering 10 including Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year. All from I Am..Sash Fierce of course. Other nominees included Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell, Kanye West, Keri Hilson, Ciara, John Legend, and Jay-Z to name a few. None of those nominations surprised me until I got to Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. The nominees were Beyonce’s remix of “Ego”, Keri Hilson’s “Knock You Down”, Jay-Z’s, “Run This Town”, T.I.’s “Dead and Gone”, and The Lonely Island’s, “I’m On A Boat.” If you remember “I’m On A Boat” was a rap video comedy short about being on a boat featuring Andy Samburg and T-Pain. The song was hilarious and Andy Samburg is good at what he does but since the song was made for comedy, should it have been in the comedy category? Andy’s group Lonely Island’s did release an album titled Incredibad which contained “I’m On A Boat”,the infamous “D*ck In A Box” and other hilarious songs so technically the nomination is legit. But some may argue, how you do you put “I’m On A Boat” in the same category with Jay-Z’s “Run This Town”. We’ll see what happens. The Grammys air on January 31, 2010.
